Abstract
- This paper examines the role of infrastructure practices in the effectiveness of JIT practices using data obtained from factories based in the U.S., Italy, and Japan. The paper shows that with the exception of manufacturing strategy, all other infrastructure practices, individually moderate the relationship between JIT practices and plant competitiveness.
