Abstract

Research has been conducted on [Mo (sub)2](CH (sub)3 O) (sub)2 M(CH (sub)3 O) (sub)2 [Mo (sub)2] compounds, where M is zinc or cobalt. The authors report the occurrence of tetramethoxyzincate ion as a bridging ligand in the compounds, and discuss the preparation method via the replacement of tetrahedrally coordinated Zn (super)2+ ion by a tetrahedral Co (super)2+ species.
