Abstract

Research has been conducted on RE(IO (sub)3) (sub)3, where RE is Nd, Sm, Eu, reactions with I (sub)2 O (sub)5 and MoO (sub)3. Results demonstrate that these reactions provide access to RE(MoO (sub)2)(IO (sub)3) (sub)4 (OH), and that pure phases are determined from powder X-ray diffraction data.
