Linkage mapping in tetraploid willows: segregation of molecular markers and estimation of linkage phases support an allotetraploid structure for Salix alba (times) Salix fragilis interspecific hybrids

Research has been conducted on male and female willows. The authors discuss the construction of the linkage maps for male and female willows which is based on the two-way pseudotestcross strategy, and report the use of the single-dose amplified fragment length polymorphisms and the selective amplification of microsatellite polymorphic loci markers between parents in linkage analysis.
