Abstract
- Association of University Teachers (AUT) members at the University of Hull have unanimously passed a vote of no confidence in David Drewry, vice-chancellor of the university, claiming that planned job losses at Hull will leave the celebrated library of poet Philip Larkin 'decimated'. The AUT has called for an inquiry into the finances and management of the university, stating that budgets are in disarray and senior managers are quitting. Jane McAdoo, national AUT president, claims that Hull is being crippled by incompetent management, with world-renowned and previously dedicated staff now fighting to get out.
