Abstract
- The author examines the determinants of Black, Hispanic, Asian, and Native American employment within US police and fire departments. The author also took into consideration affirmative action policies, and the failure rates for recruits to show patterns of employment. For example, affirmative action policies benefit Hispanics and Asian firefighters.
