Abstract

This article analyzes the correspondence between Emily Dickinson and Helen Hunt Jackson. The author focuses on the two poets' approaches to print publication, in which Dickinson sought limited circulation but aquired lasting fame, and Jackson emphasized the value of commerical publication, yet only aquired brief fame.
