Abstract
- The activation of mammalian glutamate dehydrogenase occurs by ADP opening the catalytic cleft by binding to the NADH site. Results indicate that the antenna structure in the enzyme evolves before the formation of purine regulatory sites and that the enzyme acquires allosteric regulation function as it evolves.
