Abstract: Research describes development of a method based on in vivo expression technology for the detection of genes of lactobacilli induced in the murine gut and their functionality. The in vivo expression system is plasmid-based and consists of two reporter genes that identify the induction of specific genes in the gastrointestinal tract.
