Tautomeric equilibria of pyridoxal-5'-phosphate (vitamin B (sub)6) and 3-hydroxypyridine derivatives: a theoretical study of solvation effects

Research has been conducted on 3-hydroxypyridine derivatives and pyridoxal-5'-phosphate. The tautomeric equilibria of these compounds have been investigated via the use of density functional calculations both in gas phase and various solvents, and the results are reported.
