The present essay, written from the experience in the practice of the profession, has as central idea to present a critique of the federal legal instruments that regulate the practice and exercise of the Archival in Mexico, as well as the image that regarding Information science professionals have other professionals, with the aim of proposing options that allow diversifying the labor field of the specialists in administration and document management.
