La biblioteca de José de la Torre y del Cerro

The donation of the personal archive of the archivist José de la Torre y del Cerro to the Provincial Historical Archive of Córdoba and the Municipal Archive of Córdoba, brought together that of the part of his personal library that was most related to his professional activity. In this way, her books are divided into three collections, two collections that accompany the documents in both archives and a third that remains in the house of her daughter, Pilar de la Torre Vasconi, and therefore contains books that are not directly related. with the performance of their professional activity. The fact that their forms are disintegrated, so that no memory of their unit is preserved or of the reasons that led to the gathering of this bibliographic corpus, prompted us to make a joint catalog, with an exhaustive description of all the documents, and with special interest in the dedications that appear in many works, whose authors wanted to thank the help provided by José de la Torre.
