Liburuklik: patrimonio digital vasco en acceso abierto

Liburuklik: Basque Digital Library is a OAI platform which garantees the spreading and the access to the Basque Bibliographic patrimony, making it possible for any person interested in Basque language and culture to have to be able to do it easily and in a simple way. The Basque Digital Library has been operating for a year and is one of the latest platforms created in the Autonomic sphere, but during the present year the number of digitized images has duplicated and, moreover, a series of functional improvements is being carried out which will affect the usage of the device and the access and spreading of its contents. The documental collection Liburuklik is already provided with a wide range of monographies as well as important collections of magazines and historical Basque press and recently its been enriched with an additionof 265 partitures from the documental collection of Eresbil. Its a repository DSpace oriented towards the conservation and spreading of the Basque Bibliographic patrimony, with a clear goal, that of fostering the collaboration and institutional cooperation and whose contents will be progressivily increased with the bibliographic documents of Basque libraries which are willing to take part in this interesting project. All the images stored in liburuklik will be treated by OCR and every document is offered in JPG as well as PDF format and can be kept, printed or simply visualized on the screen.
