Abstract

In the field of Health Sciences, one of the most important and most global consideration when retrieving information is PubMed. One interesting features of this system is to provide information of scientific journals highly regarded worldwide. To do this, they must meet requirements indexing, among others, to be validated by evaluation committees. While science biomedical traditions are rooted in the process of publication, and the core of scientific literature focuses on two or three large publishing groups, in the course of the recent years, the publication of science runs a kind of liberation from the phenomenon of Open Access. In this sense, it aims to discuss the incorporation of a PubMed F1000 to through two resources: F1000 Prime to re-evaluate the quality of items and establish a ranking as assessed by its reviewers, and F1000 Research, self-defined as a Open Access journal, providing immediate publication of review articles post publication peer. In this regard, some considerations and invite reflection points debate.
