Justiça na desigualdade: ações de liberdade, 'papéis de venda' e 'justo preço' Rio da Prata, 1776-1815

Spanish law and customs established different ways by means of which slaves could obtain freedom. These ways were widely used and amplified by slaves's own demands. In addition of the best known "deeds of freedom", Buenos Aires' slaves often petitioned to change masters sheltered by the legal institution of the "sale papers". In both the the "deeds of freedom" and the "sale papers", settling the slave's price became a difficult operation, a new arena of dispute.
