Organizational culture of yucatecan civil associations that carry out advocacy Resumen Se realizó un estudio con organizaciones de la sociedad civil en el estado de Yucatán, teniendo como puntos comunes que son organizaciones que realizan incidencia política y sus actividades se enmarcan en el desarrollo social. El presente artículo tiene como objetivo identificar las características que configuran la cultura organizacional de algunas organizaciones que realizan incidencia política regional o localmente. Asimismo, al tratarse de un estudio de casos múltiples, se identifican elementos comunes y particularidades en función del objeto social de las asociaciones civiles participantes. Se encontró que las organizaciones participantes tienen el propósito de resolución de problemáticas sociales, que beneficien a la sociedad civil. También es fundamental para estas organizaciones la reivindicación de su carácter independiente, que es evidente desde la elección de su figura legal, y a través de su tendencia a desvincularse de la labor gubernamental. De manera más explícita, si bien algunas realizan labores coordinadas con instancias gubernamentales, procuran mantener acciones evidentemente diferentes y apartidistas. Su trascendencia es que, como sociedad civil organizada, pueden ser la vía mediante la cual la ciudadanía contribuya a la construcción de alternativas a las problemáticas públicas. Abstract A study was carried out with civil society organizations in the state of Yucatan, having as common points that are organizations that carry out advocacy and their activities are framed in social development. The present article aims to identify the characteristics that shape the organizational culture of organizations that carry out political advocacy regional o locally. In addition, as a multiple case study, common elements and particularity are identified per the social purpose of the participating civil associations. It was found that the participating organizations have the purpose of solving social problems, which benefit civil society. It is also essential for these organizations to claim their independent character, which is evident from the choice of their legal status, and through their tendency to disengage from government work. More explicitly, while some work in coordination with government agencies, they try to maintain clearly different and nonpartisan actions. Its transcendence is that, as an organized civil society, they can be the way in which citizens contribute to the construction of alternatives to public problems.
