Abstract

The purpose of university extension is to promote social development by promoting projects and programs that should include popular knowledge and practices and ensure respect for the individual and environmental and social sustainability. The study of the marine environment is considered as something in expansion and still with great promises of evolution in scientific terms. This extension project aims to establish a communication of the marine activities developed in the Paraíba Aquarium, under the supervision of its professionals, and the students of the Veterinary Medicine course of UNINASSAU, regarding the behavioral observation of the marine specimens of said aquarium, having as a point central to university extension, where, through research actions in scientific materials and appropriate documentation, behavioral observations, which will contribute to broaden the understanding of veterinarians' performance in these activity mixes. At the end, scientific articles were sent that reflect the learning obtained during this practiced extension activity.
