Abstract

This work aims to understand what the BNCC prescribes for the Portuguese Language teaching, having as axis the digital genres, in the Elementary School stage (final years). Among the different digital genres suggested by the BNCC, to be worked on at this stage, we chose the vlog genre as a focus of investigation. Our objective is to identify if the vlog, as a genre of the digital sphere, taken as an object of teaching, complies with which competencies and skills prescribed by the BNCC. The analysis between the characteristic elements that make up the vlog and what is prescribed by the competencies and skills, shows that the vlog genre significantly complies with what the BNCC proposes about working with digital genres, allowing the development of language practices in the various fields of activity.
