Abstract

In this paper, according to the characteristics of reconfigurable high speed serial bus(UM-BUS), a new architecture of intelligent wheelchair system based on UM-BUS is proposed, which is superior to the traditional architecture in scalability and dynamic fault tolerance. Based on the new architecture, a common hardware and software platform is designed. The intelligent wheelchair control system designed in this paper has the characteristics of easy expansion, high reliability and versatility.
