Abstract

Nonā€compressible wounds are a major source of high mortality in trauma victims. Here the authors report on the creation of xerogels impregnated with liquid adhesives which can rapidly absorb fluids promoting blood clotting while forming adhesions to tissue and demonstrate the xerogel in ex vivo and in vivo models.
