Abstract
- The purpose of this study was to investigate the mood states of athletes of collective sports, teams from the city of Itatiba/SP, participants of the regional games of 2018. Thus, the Brunel Mood Scale (BRUMS) was used, together with 34 athletes, volunteers, of both sexes, aged between 15 and 29 years. Participants belonged to 3 teams: Men's Volleyball, Women's Volleyball and Men's Basketball. The results showed that at the beginning of the competition the athletes of all the teams presented a positive state of mood, since the Vigor factor obtained the highest scores, but the Female Volleyball athletes were superior in this factor the other teams. It can be concluded that the investigated athletes had higher scores to Vigor factor, characterizing the sample with the so-called iceberg profile, a profile considered ideal for sports performance.
