Abstract

In order to study the influence of vehicle-liquid coupling dynamic response on the vehicle stability when the tank truck is turning or changing lanes, a liquid sloshing model was established and solved by computational fluid dynamics software ANSYS/Fluent together with liquid Navier-Stokes and flow control equations. Combining the liquid sloshing model and the rigid body model of the three-degree-of-freedom tank truck, the vehicle-liquid coupling dynamics model of the tank truck was obtained, and could be used to analyze the influence of liquid sloshing on the lateral stability of the tank truck with or without control strategy. The simulation results show that the fuzzy differential braking control strategy, which can effectively enhance the side rollover resistant capability of a vehicle and reduce the probability of traffic accidents during tank truck transportation, will be of guiding significance for tank truck transportation.
