Abstract
- In our basic study that used a low water flow rate of 100 ml/min, the amount of dissolved hydrogen produced during water electrolysis varied according to the roughness factor of the electrode, which is thought to affect the state of supersaturation at the electrode surface. However, at a high-water flow rate of 500 ml/min, which is commonly used in commercial and industrial contexts, no change in the amount of dissolved hydrogen was observed as a function of electrode roughness factor. We observed that, at water flow rates used in commercial and industrial applications, increasing the electrode area made it possible to decrease the supersaturation state and increase the hydrogen dissolution efficiency.
