'Par delà le Gothard'. Les matches Italie-Suisse et la consolidation des champs footbalistiques italien et suisse dans l’entre-deux guerres

In this article, around several international football games between Italy and Switzerland, appearing asmany windows open on the dynamics of the institutionalization of football in the 1920s and 1930s in continental Europe, our ambition is twofold. On the one hand, we seek to examine the process the consolidation of italian and swiss “football fields” in the interwar period. On the other hand, we plan to observe the impact of these processes on journalistic discourses, reviews in the swiss press (French and German langage), especially regarding the movement of national representations.
