Abstract

The recent emergence of memory tourism and its development is accompanied by many questions, including the question of quality human resources. In the tripartite co-production which involves, in addition to the tourist and the service provider, the intervention of the guardians of tradition, as is the case in the service around the Bamileke funerals, complicates the task of the service provider agent. It seems that, for the time being, the tourist training establishments do not yet produce qualified professionals for this rather singular form, closely linked to the local customs and uses which cannot be transgressed. Hence the interest and the need to draw up a profile of the service provider, with a view to strengthening training courses aimed at bringing qualified professionals from memory tourism into the labour market. This is the aim of this article.
