Abstract

In this article we propose the category Journalism of Author 2.0 as a new modality of digital writing and as a specific type of identity construction in journalistic discourse inscribed in personal Web sites of Argentine journalists. For its study we assume a sociosemiotic perspective considering the crossing of problems related to the field of journalism, the irruption of digital technologies and the emergence of new ways of presenting journalists in their interactions with the reader/user. Thus, we reflect on the characteristics assumed by the “presentation of itself” through which this emerging journalistic êthos is constructed, as part of the phenomenon of online identities, of connected individualisms that are put into play by means of user-centered technologies, with a marked tendency to the exaltation of the self and the spectacularization of the personality. For this reason, the subject appears relevant insofar as it offers the possibility of investigating the characteristics of a recent phenomenon, with scarce research antecedents given its contemporaneity.
