Abstract

Expressions have been obtained for estimating the interfacial energy of metallic thin films at the interface with an organic dielectric coating. The case of the boundary of the contact of cobalt films with polyatomic alcohols (diols) is considered. Comparison with the experimental data shows a good agreement between the theoretical model and real objects.
