The study further explores how specific rhetorical figures contribute to the rhythmic and aesthetic qualities of "Oríkì Òndó" in a distinct manner. To achieve these objectives, the study involves in-depth analysis of recorded `Ondó praise chants, interviews with practitioners. Data are analyzed using Fahnestock’s (2011) principles of Rhetorical Style. Findings show that the "Oríkì Òndó" is a reservoir of rhetorical richness, employing various figures such as metaphor, hyperbole and symbolism.
