Las páginas de opinión en el caso de Radio Caracas Televisión: un acercamiento a El Nacional y Últimas Noticias

The scenario originated by the expiring of the concession of RCTV and the denial of renovation woke the attention of Venezuelan society. In this sense, it was very important to understand the editorial treatment given by media. The main goal of this research was to analyze the journalist treatment given by El Nacional and Últimas Noticias to this incident on their opinion pages. The study was produced under the modality of documental investigation, using the content analysis technique, for which it was used the model of the compound week. We observed that opinion pages were not a free space for all the visions of the case, but for the main vision of the editorial lines (this was analyzed via the front page). The results explains that the 100 percent of articles published on opinion pages in El Nacional were selected in order to support RCTV. In the other hand, Últimas Noticias had a 67 percent of articles guaranting the government decision.
