Abstract

The aim of the paper is to present the approach and results of the questionnaire research focused on the frequencies of occurrence and impact of severe events in logistics, then on risk factors as well as the approach to risk management in logistics. With the support of SPSS Statistics software, measures of location and variability of answers were analyzed. After the analysis, the phenomena recognized were classified according to the importance and then evident relationships were also researched. The results of the research analysis are in the ordering of the severe events into the matrix ”occurrence – impact”, positional map of the risk factors, expected progression of logistics risks and finally overview of the use of preventive measures and techniques in logistic chain risk management. In the end, the directions of further risk research are specified.
