Abstract

In the context of increasing requirements for the effectiveness of teaching in primary school, the problems of purposeful development of cognitive abilities of students using the possibilities of digitalization of school education are becoming highly relevant. The article analyzes the process and results of digitalization of education. The authors consider the course of formation of the digital educational environment and the didactic potential of modern information technologies. The features of the development of cognitive abilities of primary school students in the context of the main aspects of cognitive processes (memory, thinking, attention, imagination) and the advantages and opportunities of the digital educational environment in this area are also highlighted.
