Assia Djebar places memory at the center of her concerns, around which her entire romantic adventure revolves. This memory is located halfway between the past/ present, History/fiction, collective memory/ individual memory, autobiography/ fiction. The concept that seems to best define his approach is that of “post-memory”. The interest of this reflection is to study the mechanisms of reconstitution of collective memory, to revisit History through the notion of "post-memory", personal history, and collective history. How can autobiography using postcolonial or "post-memory" memory serve to rewrite history?
