Abstract
- Patients with psoriasis are prone to develop cardiovascular disease, being one of the main causes of mortality. Risk factors for patients with psoriasis for cardiovascular disease are very common either on their own or in combination. Among these risk factors we can mention: diabetes, obesity, hypertension, dyslipidemia, metabolic syndrome, smoking. The presence of arthritis along with psoriasis is a negative prognosis in terms of cardiovascular disease. Sleep disturbances, depression and anxiety disorders also contribute to the increase in the frequency of cardiovascular disease in patients with psoriasis.
