Freshwater tardigrades from Hopen, Svalbard (76°31'N)

Abstract
- Seventeen species of Tardigrada were found in submerged mosses of 17 freshwater bodies from the SE part of the island of Hopen (Svalbard). Fourteen species are new records for Hopen; Pseudechiniscus islandicus was not previously reported from Svalbard. The most frequently and numerously encountered species were Isohypsibius granulifer, Hypsibius dujardini, Dactylobiotus dispar, Macrobiotus dianeae and Amphibolus weglarskae.
