Abstract

We studied the effectiveness of different treatment processes applied to the seeds of herbaceous cotton, BRS Verde and CNPA 7H, compared with lint seeds (control) in order to reduce the incidence of fungi, particularly on seeds stored in dry chamber. We adopted delineation completely randomized, using the factorial scheme 2 x 3 x 3, with four replications, being the factors: two cultivars (white and colored cotton), three treatments (C/L, S/L and S/L + T), and three storage periods (zero, 6 and 12 months). Based on the results, it was concluded that the fungal treatment applied to the seeds lint was effective in reducing the infestation of fungi, and BRS 7H is less contaminated during the storage period.
