Abstract
- This study investigates the synthesis of TiO2 using the rind of Aloe vera (L.) Burm extract as a green-capping agent. It was discovered that adding the studied extract up to 10 % (TOAv10) increased the surface area and pore volume while maintaining the spherical shape of the nanoparticles. Overall, the TOAv4 sample has the highest photocatalytic activity compared to other samples and a good photocatalytic activity compared to TiO2 prepared without extract. The current findings provide an environmentally friendly and low-cost protocol for the synthesis of TiO2 nanoparticles in the application of wastewater treatment.
