Automatic determination of the triangle and ramp voltage linearity error

Abstract

Triangle and ramp voltage linearity are important characteristics of function and sweep generators. In performance test for these instruments linearity error for triangle and ramp signals is established. When using the step-by-step measuring method the process of the establishing linearity error can be very time consuming. However, system voltmeter HP 3437A, as obtain the complete measuring results in 2-3 minutes.
