Abstract

This paper exposes the main outcomes of a study about adolescents at risk. The article is based on the case study of a young woman put in residential care several times since her birth, in 6 secondary schools from 12 to 16 and who, at last, runs away from home. The theorical background is the case study proposed by Becker. Several points of view are collected (the young woman, her family, professionnals working in different institutions and concerned by the case). The frame and the methodology are first exposed, then Kelly’s case is presented. The following developments are devoted to compare Kelly’s case with the other youngsters’ of the study.
