Abstract
- “Terra dei Fuochi” is a name coined in the early 2000s to indicate the territories between the provinces of Naples and Caserta, once the flagship of the Roman Campania Felix, but today compromised by years of illegal spills and fires of waste. The 90 municipalities that are part of it have signed the “Terra dei Fuochi Pact”, with which they have undertaken to adopt measures to combat the phenomenon of the combustion of abandoned waste and intervene for their removal. Monitoring for remediation is still ongoing. In the meantime, “green” environmental redevelopment projects have been tested which, from a systemic perspective, could restore a material and immaterial integrity to these territories and their populations.
