Abstract

Alternaria tenuissima can cause leaf spots and fruit decay in some economically important crops. Recently, this species was first reported as a causal agent causing fruit decay in postharvest kiwifruit. Here, a highly contiguous genome assembly 33.87 Mb in size was obtained by a combination of Illumina NovaSeq and PacBio SMRT sequencing methods, yielding five full chromosome-level sequences. This resource provides opportunities for a better understanding of the mechanisms that underpin the pathogenicity of A. tenuissima. [Figure: see text] Copyright © 2023 The Author(s).
