Abstract

In this study, Yoshimi et al. report on the mechanisms of CRISPR-Cas3 non-specific cleavage of single-stranded DNA and target-specific degradation of double stranded DNA. They employ high-speed AFM to capture images of type I CRISPR priming and interference.
