Abstract

Social discourses on the evolutions of educational institutions are omnipresent and performative. But, often taking the form of "standard narratives", they do not highlight the plurality of these public institutions, their ambivalences and their potentialities. By comparing four French public institutions, it's about understanding how an educational mandate could emerge in these different public institutions. Then, it's about to developing a « thick description » of the practical and relational forms that this educational mandate can take with various populations.
