Tissue Sodium in Patients With Early Stage Hypertension: A Randomized Controlled Trial

Background Sodium (Na+) stored in skin and muscle tissue is associated with essential hypertension. Sodium magnetic resonance imaging is a validated method of quantifying tissue stores of Na+.
