Abstract
- We propose a scheme for quantum interrogation measurements using constructive interference and post-selection to achieve single-pass high-efficiency detection for imperfect or semi-transparent absorbers. We illustrate that our method works for heralded single-photon as well as weak attenuated sources. We also study the influence of error from our equipment and show that post-selection renders robustness to our scheme against noise. We further demonstrate that with a small extension, we can quantify the transmittance of the imperfect absorber by using the process of weak value amplification (WVA)<br />Comment: 9 pages, 6 figures
