A Null Test of the Cosmological Constant

Abstract: We provide a consistency relation between cosmological observables in general relativity with the cosmological constant. Breaking of this relation at any redshift would imply the breakdown of the hypothesis of the cosmological constant as an explanation of the current acceleration of the universe.<br />Comment: 5 pages, 1 figure, references added, to be published in Prog.Theor.Phys
