RÜSÛM-I ÖRFİYE

Places conquered by the Ottoman Empire did not interfere with the laws and regulations. Among these, there were also a number of tax items. Tax was collected from the people in the Ottoman Empire under three categories. Traditional taxes (Rüsum-ı Örfiye), was one of these taxes. In this study, information will be given about the traditional taxes.
Osmanlı Devleti, fethettiği yerlerdeki kanun ve nizamlara müdahale etmedi. Bunlar arasında bir takım vergi kalemleri de bulunmaktaydı. Osmanlı Devleti’nde halktan üç başlık altında vergi alınıyordu. Örfî vergiler, bu vergilerden biriydi. Bu çalışmada, örfî vergiler hakkında bilgiler verilecektir.
