Мовленнєвий уплив проповідей Івана Огієнка

Studying speech influence is important for understanding how with the help of definite communicative strategies and language devices it is possible to change world perception and behavior of the recipient. In a rich literary heritage of metropolitan Ivan Ohiienko of great importance are moral-instructive preaches in which he emphasizes the importance of national selfidentity and statehood. Language means of Ivan Ohiienko’s preaches are pragmatically marked, possess suggestive and persuasive potential which is based not only on emotional impact but which is well-grounded and rational. Reliability of Ivan Ohiienko’s considerations is achieved by constant argumentation and use of explanatory constructions when one sentence gives the statement of some idea and the next sentences support this idea. Parallel and detached syntactic structures are dominant in his writing, they create specific intonation pattern. Persuasion of the author is marked by prevailing of affirmative sentences characterized by laconism and categorical persuasive modality. On lexical level among means of speech influence in Ivan Ohiienko’s preaches we can name repetition of key words. The main communicative aim of Ivan Ohiienko’s preaches is directive (the speaker tries to get the hearer to act in some direction) and commissive (the speaker tries to get the hearer to be committed to some action). His language is rich in expressive and declarative statements. The choice of syntactic constructions is determined by the necessity to achieve rhythm that highlights the most important information. To make the statement persuasive Ivan Ohiienko builds the sentences on antithesis and contrast. Such sentences demand change of the intonation pattern and draw recipient’s attention to the change of the idea. Eff ectiveness of the influence depends on the personality of the speaker (social status, authority, intellectual and character advantages, readiness and willingness to persuade), the content of the message, use of the corresponding lexis, text semantics, dominant words actualization, effective selection of rhetoric devices that enhance emotional- aesthetic effect.
Майстерність Івана Огієнка-проповідника неодноразово привертала увагу мовознавців. У статті з’ясовано мовні засоби проповідей митрополита Іларіона, які забезпечують успішну комунікацію та мовленнєвий переконувальний (персуазивний) уплив на реципієнта. Ядром семантичного поля персуазивності є достовірність та впевненість. Достовірність міркувань у проповідях І. Огієнка досягається постійною аргументацією, використанням конструкцій розгорненого пояснення. Упевненість проповідника засвідчена переважанням стверджувальних речень, яким властива категорична персуазивна модальність та лаконізм. У його проповідях домінують експресиви (маніфістуються відвертими та упевненими твердженнями автора) і декларативи (запевнення та спонукання до дії). Переконування адресата мовлення відбувається через емоційний вплив. Виокремлено ритмо-мелодійні, лексикосемантичні, граматичні засоби мовленнєвого впливу у проповідях І. Огієнка.
