Abstract

Опрацьовуючи наукові джерела ми відзначили, що проблемі формування фахових компетентностей присвячено багато праць, але проблема формування фахових компетентностей майбутнього вчителя музичного мистецтва на заняттях з основного музичного інструменту є недостатньо дослідженою.<br />The paper deals with providing the insight into formation specifics of a future music teacher’s professional competencies in primary musical instrument classes. Theoretical and empirical research methods (analysis of academic literature, synthesis, systematization, generalization) were applied in the research process. Reviewing academic sources, we have noted that, while the matter of professional competency formation has been considered in many papers, the matter of a future music teacher’s formation of professional competencies in primary musical instrument classes is not studied sufficiently.Having analyzed educational and professional programs, we have determined that professional competencies of a future music teacher include:– artistic and aesthetic competency (centres around the formation of artistic worldview of a student);– psychological and pedagogical competency (mastery of basic knowledge in pedagogics and psychology, ability to implement it in learning and professional activities);– musical and theoretical competency (application of knowledge acquired in other disciplines when interpreting and performing a piece of music);– instrument competency (ability to use a musical instrument fluently);– performance competency (ability to conduct cultural, educational, as well as concert activities in the setting of a public performance). We have concluded that competency-based approach to the training of future music teachers is built on interdisciplinary relations of professional disciplines, where the subject area comes into correlation with a variety of music activities and targets at developing focus on self-development artistic potential of future music teachers.
