Abstract: Authors present an overview of the present knowledge in the field of biochemical modulation of 5-fluorouracil and its potential clinical applications. Interaction between 5-fluorouracil and several modulators, such as leucovorin, interferons, cisplatin, hydroxyurea, thymidine, methotrexate, and PALA are extensively analyzed.
