Despite international research efforts, patients with glioblastoma multiforme (GBM)-the most common malignant brain tumors in adults-exhibit a very unfavorable prognosis. Their aggressive local growth pattern and increased invasiveness, due to a high motility of the tumor cells, hamper treatment.
